Additionally, Dizdarević was a recipient of the 2018–2019 Bicultural Iowa Writers' Fellowship, Iowa's first fully funded residency for emerging writers identifying as immigrants or their immediate descendants. As a fellow, Dizdarević’s work was published in volume two of We the Interwoven: An Anthology of Bicultural Iowa.
